The three-hour workshop as part of the AKADEMIE für Performing Arts Producer des Bündnis internationaler Produktionshäuser e.V. provides answers to the most important questions regarding contracts with artists. The following topics are dealt with in particular:
- Self-employment/independence – employment or freelance work in the independent scene
- Taxes for contracts with actors from abroad (reverse charge procedure + foreigner tax)
- Termination options, default fees, etc.
- Rights under the Copyright Act
With examples from practice, for practice, the workshop aims to convey a uniform level of knowledge as a basis for action in daily cultural practice.
